欲

(sa) rājas, passion. Also (sa) kāma, desire, love. The Chinese word means to breathe after, aspire to, desire, and is also used as [lang id =1028]慾 for lust, passion; it is (la) inter alia intp. as [lang id =1028]染愛塵 tainted with the dust (or dirt) of love, or lust. The three desires are for beauty, demeanour, and softness; the five are those of the five physical senses.

又作樂欲， 意謂希求、 欲望， 希望所作事業之精神作用。 唯識宗以此為對願求對象所起之別境心所。 欲有善、 惡、 無記等三性， 善欲為引起精勤心之根據；惡欲中之希欲他人財物者， 稱為貪， 為根本煩惱之一。 欲有五欲、 六欲、 三欲等多種： 一、 五欲， 愛著色、 聲、 香、 味、 觸等五境者， 稱為五欲；對財、 色、 飲食、 名、 睡眠之欲， 亦稱作五欲。 二、 六欲， 對色、 形貌、 威儀姿態、 言語音聲、 細滑、 人相之欲， 即為六欲。 三、 三欲， 於六欲中對形貌、 姿態、 細觸之欲， 稱為三欲。
